Safe Harbor
You are the song my heart beats to,
A rhythm wild and free.
You give me purpose again,
Opened my eyes
To see the Goddess in me.
You lift me up higher
Than I could have ever dreamed
Of reaching alone.
With you by my side,
I can do anything,
Get through any adversity,
Celebrate every joy.
You are the Safe Harbor
And the Light that guides me Home.
Your love anchors me enough
So I can soar wild and free,
And yet still be safe
In your arms at night.
Your strength and courage
Are beacons bright and true,
Encouraging me to do what’s right.
There was a time not so long ago
When I thought all hope was lost,
And I could go on no longer.
Your heart kept calling out to me.
Your love lighting the way
Back to you,
My heart, my soul,
My Safe Harbor.

Behind Closed Doors 
Hi ya Tammy…that is really beautiful and so well written. Surely the love flowed from your heart when you wrote this. It is uplifting and educating for the heart and soul. Well done.
PS Personal question you dont have to answer of course but…what was happening around at that time.. where where you when your heart started speaking? .So pleased for you… God loves you…your love and light. Take care for now…. :)) Dave

I wrote this poem the morning I posted it. I had been feeling very blessed for having come through a very trying two years with a divorce, financial issues, feeling lost and without a purpose. My writing helped me to work through it all, but finding my soul mate when I wasn’t even looking helped to guide me to safety and love. He supports me in all that I do from my writing to my spirituality. No longer do I have to try to live up to someone else’s standards or ideals. Now I have a life partner who will be with me every step of the way and it’s simply amazing.
