kink club blues

In Kink Club Blues,Paul and Geoffrey return from Paris and continue to deepen their relationship and increase the kink in their sexplorations. Meanwhile, Geoffrey’s ex, Brian, denies a growing interest in Dom/sub play only to fall into the helpful arms of local kink club worker Gar, who’s more than happy to show Brian the pleasure to be had in submission…

Check out book I, Sex, Ties and Videotape, to read how Paul and Geoffrey’s relationship starts, and then enjoy watching Brian get his just deserts in Kink Club Blues even more!

Here’s more about Kink Club Blues:

??????????????????????????????????????????????????

Brian finds out the hard way that once a top, always a top, doesn’t apply to him.

Paul smaller

Paul and Geoffrey return from their special trip to Paris. Paul plans to propose to Geoffrey but first, his urge to protect his lover drives him to close an old loophole. He visits Brian, demanding the original video he made of Geoffrey be destroyed.

????????????????????????????????????????

Brian doesn’t understand what Paul’s upset about, or his dominant streak. But the clearer Paul’s feelings for Geoffrey become to him, the more Brian desires to have a man love him the same way.

Gar smaller

Curiosity draws him to the local kink club, and into the arms of a man whose punishment gives him all he secretly craves.

EXCERPT

kink club bluesA mountain of a man appeared before him, and he immediately stopped struggling, as though someone had pushed his obedience button. Gar.

“Causing trouble already? Just couldn’t wait for the full tour?”

Brian bit his lip. Behind him, he heard Paul going on about the video. Tattling on his former bad choices, making him sound like an ass. He watched Gar’s eyebrows lower and his lips frown.

“Is this true, Brian?”

Sighing, he nodded. “Yes, but—”

Gar stepped closer, waving the security guards off. The man exerted a pull on him he’d never experienced before. He stood there mesmerized, as Gar towered over him disapprovingly.

“So, you like to pick on subs do you?”

“No.” He shook his head emphatically. “It was a mistake. I didn’t mean it. I didn’t know.” If he could only explain. More than anything, he hated the thought of Gar thinking ill of him. The desire to prove himself worthy, be accepted by Gar ate at him hard.

Gar eyed him curiously for so long Brian thought he’d turned to stone. “What did you really come here for tonight, Brian?”

Brian sucked both his lips in, trying not to whimper. His body surged with unfulfilled desire, and he unconsciously leaned toward Gar as though snagged by his orbit. But admitting what he wanted out loud, what he wanted Gar to do to him, frightened him even worse than Gar’s rejection.

Gar stepped closer so they were toe-to-toe. His hot breath fanned Brian’s cheeks. His gaze burned a hole through him, but his voice was soft and low. “Did you come here to get punished for your misdeeds, Brian?”

His cock leaked, his hips thrusting forward of their own accord. He fought valiantly, but in the end he could not resist Gar’s commanding presence. He licked his lips. “Yes. Oh God, yes.”

Gar’s gaze went from Brian’s cock to his face. His smile was ferocious, as though he’d eat him alive and lick him up. His fingers came to Brian’s neck and pinched.

Brian thrilled at the look and passed out at Gar’s feet.

BLURB

openworld_CMoss_1600x2400The world has broken out in wars. Las Vegas has been ravaged by chemical warfare and is now home to several clans and creatures.

Welcome to I-D-8 Entertainment’s newest game: Clans of Vegas—Endless Night.

Friends and family have gathered for a crunch time playtest of C.O.V.E.N.. When a horrible thunderstorm hits, everyone’s sucked into the game for real. In the MMORPG, Hope Collins is kidnapped by Buzz and forced to submit to his whims. Her boyfriend, Alden, has to delay his quest of defeating a clan’s prince to save her, but time and circumstance don’t seem to be on his side. Faith Collins is bombarded by strange dreams brought on by Buzz. Her boyfriend, Tavis, learns to dream walk, but can he help break the spell she’s under and save her before she’s lost to him?

C.O.V.E.N. is more than just a game. It’s a whole other world.

EXCERPT

Perhaps he’d been under too much stress, had too much caffeine, didn’t have enough sleep or information about the guy. More likely a combination of it all. A hodgepodge of shit and no shovel. He didn’t know how much more of all this he could take.

Shaking off the negativity, Alden rotated his head, listening to his spine crackle and pop. Tension released. The quick adjustment perked him up. He plated the burgers, closed the lid to the grill and exhaled a deep breath. First food, then work, and amongst it all, see if I can figure out Mr. Jenkins’s deal. Making his way toward the small group, the tray of hot meat balanced on one hand, he focused in on Cor, noting his body language and how the people around him responded.

Why did I imagine him as the antagonist? The one in the game I need to destroy?

The storyline he had to double check during the playtest dealt with finding the main boss—the Prince of Clan Caesachapel—and defeating him before the cad could cause harm. He’d intended to assist Hope and her family in creating ‘good’ characters, placing them in the clan he belonged to, and have them run the quests, as well. But with the way he’d been feeling, he almost reconsidered that idea.

openworld_CMoss_1600x2400Thing was he had a job to do. One he aimed to make good on and see through to the end. He’d never been the kind of guy to shirk a duty, and he wasn’t about to start now.

Mr. James Collins, a middle-aged man with graying, strawberry blond hair and ice blue eyes, glanced Den’s way as he approached. James acknowledged him with slight nod, then returned his attention to Cor.

The fact James was only a programmer and not his direct boss—or above him in any authoritative capacity in the organization—pleased Den. The man sure ran hot one moment and cold the next when it came to him. Hope had explained that was one of her father’s personality quirks and not to take it personal.

Some future father-in-law he would turn out to be.

Plastering a smile on his face, he placed the dish of meat on the aluminum table. James and the ladies’ attentions stayed fixed on the gentleman in their midst. Good. No one paid him any mind. More time to assess the situation.

Cor’s intense brown-eyed gaze bored into Hope’s, infiltrating her defenses and working whatever magic the man seemed to possess. Their connection resembled flirting but in a stronger sense. His chest tightened and burned. Mine, his inner voice asserted in a low, rolling growl, reminding him of his in game character’s speech. Alden stepped back before he could choose to put his fist in Cor’s face. His foot crunched on a chip bag that had fallen to the ground.

Hope didn’t flinch, didn’t look away.

Mesmerized. Shit. And not just her. Enthralled by the bean counter, the whole family overlooked him like he didn’t exist.

What the hell is going on?

Alchemy - Serena Fairfax

Set against sun-drenched Lake Garda, church mouse Tamsin Heriot, an English rose, pairs off with privileged Luca Leopoldo di Monte Valli, who’s half Italian, half Somali. But Luca isn’t what he seems… Orphaned at seven when his childhood in Mogadishu is brutally destroyed, Luca is left emotionally broken. Ragged and starving he seeks refuge in Italy where kindly aristocrats adopt him.

Ever since she was fifteen, Tamsin has had a crush on Luca and the summer before she goes to university, she’s determined to lose her virginity to him.

It’s eight years before their paths reconverge. Tamsin, still lusting after Luca, receives devastating news that triggers her return to the dilapidated family casa, and fate steps in when an unexpected bond develops between her and Luca’s widowed, adoptive mother. But a strange inheritance alters what started as a dalliance. There’s no shortcut to love, and with everything to lose, the relationship between two wounded people, Luca and Tamsin, is pushed to the breaking point.

Quickly they ripped off each other’s nightwear until they were both naked.

As he reached for a condom, Tamsin said quietly, “Is protection really necessary now we’re married? Let’s make a honeymoon baby.”

He said quietly. “Very soon, cara mia, but I’m not quite ready. Let’s get used to each other first.” Something like iron shifted in him.

It seemed to be the right response because she took it no further and wrapped her arms round him, settling in to him with a sigh. He pulled her soft curves into him and held her, kissing her fiercely.

Try something new today—the supermarket catchphrase—ran through Tamsin’s thoughts as, with her heartbeat tripling, Luca shot her that look that always gave her a warm, damp rush.

“Signora Leopoldo di Monte Valla.”

Alchemy - Serena FairfaxShe let her legs fall apart. Just the deep cadence of his voice turned her ready. “Do it, make me come.” She knew what his tongue could do, what his cock could do. “I want you now, my prince, my lord.” She swept her hair over his balls, and took one then another into her mouth.

“Wider still and wider for me, babe. I want to see every bit of you.”

‘I hear and I obey.” She shifted and opened up, spreading her sex to him, and a deep growl emerged from somewhere low down in his chest.

“Love that womanhood, love your big, tight ass.” Firm hands clamped the cheeks of her butt, trapping their bodies front to front. He paused, his eyes glittering under the long, black lashes, and then he was dipping his head and she felt the ridge of his tongue slamming inside her, sucking her swollen clit, his breath moist and hot.

She gasped and shut her eyes. “I want to taste you.” Her pussy clenched and throbbed as his hands rested on her thighs, keeping her wide.

“Keep it going.” She whimpered.

She watched him rip the foil and roll on the condom, nudging her with the tip of his warm, smooth cock. She reached for it and took the hardness of his length in her mouth, savoring the nectar, wanting his thickness to enter her, wanting his juices in her, over her.

He wet his fingers in his juices and, circling her labia, she bucked.

“That’s what I like to know.”

“I’m going to…come.”

“Not yet you won’t.” His lips twitched in a smile. “If you do,” he whispered a sweet torture, “that’s it for tonight. Hush now. We’re going there together.”

He slid his fingers deep into her clit, moving in and out, the slick, accepting sound of her desire like a metronome beating time.

He stopped and she felt she’d die. “Move,” she moaned.

His eyes were darker than she’d ever seen before. He bent into her and nibbled a jutting nipple as he eased the head of his silky cock into the peachy damp of her slit. Her cunt flared up around him, waiting, ripe, needy, her heartbeat going wild as he thrust his cock deeper as he marked his territory, staked his claim to her. She was his for the taking.

“Sweetie.” His gaze tangled with hers. And then he was hammering into her, rocking hard and fast and she was spiraling out of control until the orgasm lurking somewhere over the rainbow rushed down to ignite them and they shuddered and shattered round each other as he spilled himself into her with a shout.

With a soft sigh, he eased out and rolled to one side. He realized something else. Tamsin had messed with his emotions. He’d got caught out. He’d have to watch it. He didn’t do emotions.

* * * *

Alchemy - Serena FairfaxLater that night, Luca turned to Tamsin and murmured, “How about a chaser?” He nuzzled his tongue down her cheek.

She felt her pulse beating in her throat as her lips slid down his cock. And then he was flipping her over onto her belly, running his fingers down her spine. She got on her hands and knees and he slid his tongue into her hole, slicking her, coaxing her with a slow sweetness that made her crave for more. Then bending right over her, his fingers eased in and out of her slippery cunt, fucking her till she came in spasm after spasm.

“The best is yet to be.”

The thought of his swollen cock riding into her ass made her quiver.

He must have sensed her anxiety for he said softly. “It’s going to be all right.”

“No pain, no gain?”

“Honey, trust me.” He slipped one lubricated finger into her ass and pressed down.

About Serena

I spent my childhood in India, qualified as a Lawyer in England and joined a large London firm.

Romance is hardwired into my DNA so my novels include a strong romantic theme. However, I broke out of the romance bubble with one (you’ll see which one when you visit the Books page), which is a quirky departure in style and content.

I’ve also authored several short stories that feature on my blog http://www.serenafairfax.com/serena_fairfax_author_blog/.

Fast forward to a sabbatical from the day job when I traded in bricks and mortar for a houseboat which, for a hardened land lubber like me, turned out to be a big adventure.

Apart from writing and reading (all kinds of books), a few of my favourite things are collecting old masks, singing (in the rain) and exploring off the beaten track.

I’m a member of the Romantic Novelists Association, which is a very supportive organisation. My golden retriever, Inspector Morse, who can’t wait to unleash his own Facebook page, and I divide our time between London and rural Kent. (Charles Dickens said: Kent, sir. Everybody knows Kent. Apples, cherries, hops and women).

“*CONTEST ALERT* Sensuous Promo’s Presents – Book Tour for Breaching the Lieutenant by Eva Lefoy

Eva Lefoy Book Tour - Breaching the Lieutenant

Welcome to Sensuous Promo’s Breaching the Lieutenant Book Tour.

* WATCH FOR CONTEST BELOW *

Breaching Luetenint 3.5.4-2

Second Lieutenant Mark Oates has a lot to learn, both about the U.S. Army and about himself. When a senior officer confronts Oates about his latent homosexual tendencies, he’s backed into a corner and only one man can help him out. Trouble is, can he trust him not to ruin his career plans?

Gunnar Evans was dishonorably discharged from the Army during Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell for his openly gay sexuality. He fought the system and lost, but continues to help the young officers sent to his door discover their hidden desires. When gorgeous hunk Lt. Oates arrives, he knows he must breach the lieutenant’s defenses in order to show him the pleasure he deserves. But once he gains access, he may never want to let him go.

In the following excerpt, Lt. Oates surprises former sergeant Evans by wanting to have a taste of him…

“Come here, sir.” Oates leaned casually on his side and motioned him closer, his gaze never leaving Evans’ member. “I want … I want to taste it.”

Equal parts shock and thrill shot through his balls, and a spurt of pre-cum landed on Oates’ chest. He groaned at the sight, nearly fainting. “Oates… are you sure?”

He licked his lips. “Yeah. I mean, I want to know. Don’t you think I should know?” He swallowed. “It doesn’t make me gay or anything.”

“No,” Evans whispered as he scooted closer. Oates grabbed him by the ass and dragged him into position next to his chest. Letting out a soft cry, he gripped the roof straps and jutted his hips forward, sending his cock into Oates’ palm.

Oates’ hand traced down his length slowly, experimentally.

Evans’ thighs trembled at the curious, innocent touch. Oh God, he’s so fucking hot I’m going to come even before he gets his mouth on me. He groaned and squeezed his eyes shut, gripping the straps harder, praying for mercy and control.

Oates’ warm tongue licked his slit. Again. Then he ran this thumb over the head, swirling the pre-cum around it. “Fuck. Sir. You’re so fucking hard. I’ve never seen a cock this big.”

“God.” Evans gritted his teeth, muscles tense from straining to hold himself still and his orgasm at bay.

The moist heat of Oates’ mouth enveloped his head. He sucked, tentatively, then again, a little harder. In his eyes Evans saw curiosity, vulnerability, a willingness to please. The look tore holes in his heart. Damn, he’s a fast learner. Almost as quick as I was.

Evans’ hand flew to the back of Oates’ head, cupping it, using the connection to surrender to the man’s touch. At the same time, his hips pressed forward obeying his blind need to bury himself in any part of this man he could reach. “Oates. Oh God. Take me. Please.”

Oates tried different angles with his head until he found the right alignment. When he was there, he jabbed his head forward and gagged.

“Easy. A little bit at a time. It’s work to take a man in, Oates. Loosen your throat and go slow.” How he found the ability to talk, he’d never know. Oates’ mouth on his dick turned his brain cells to mush. Must have been the sergeant in him talking.

Oates nodded around his cock and this time took a nice slow dive down the length. He hesitated for a second just as Evans’ head hit the back of his throat, then grabbed Evans by the ass cheeks and slowly dragged his balls to his nose.

This is a *hot* read and part of my upcoming Bear series. Hope you like it! ~ Eva

Jessica Moriarty appears to have it all—a successful career as an architect, a loyal group of friends, a gorgeous apartment, and an on-again-off-again affair with Boston’s most eligible bachelor. Behind this “perfect life” façade, Jessica hides the loss she feels over giving up her dream career as an artist, copes with a destructive relationship with her alcoholic mother, and struggles with heartbreak over a lost love.

Jacques Sinclair only needs his cameras, a backpack, and a good pair of walking shoes. A world-renowned photographer, he is a man without boundaries. Despite fame and fortune, he still yearns for the woman who shattered his heart when she vanished from his life five years ago.

A chance meeting brings Jacques and Jessica back together. Reunions aren’t always planned or welcomed, but chemistry has a way of revealing what is denied. Ensnared in a web of sabotage and conspiracy—carefully constructed by people who want to control their lives—Jacques and Jessica struggle to trust each other, break free from the status quo, reclaim their love, and build a life of extraordinary possibility.

Interview with the Author

Q: Where did you get the inspiration for the title?

A: While writing this story, I listened to a lot of U2. One of their songs is called ‘Dancing Barefoot’ where they sing of spinning ceaselessly and losing gravity. “Oh God I fell for you” is one of the lyrics. It truly struck a chord within me—no pun intended. In fact, I’ve included the lyrics to the original Patti Smith song on the dedication page of the novel.

Q: What are the lyrics to ‘Dancing Barefoot’? Could you share so we get a sense of what inspired you?

A: You betcha! Here are the original lyrics sung by Patti Smith, later redone by U2.

Dancing Barefoot Song Lyrics (Patti Smith)

She is benediction

She is addicted to thee

She is the root connection

She is connecting with he

Here I go and I don’t know why

I flow so ceaselessly

Could it be he’s taking over me

I’m dancing barefoot

Headin’ for a spin

Some strange music draws me in

It makes me come up like some heroine

She is sublimation

She is the essence of thee

She is concentrating on

He who is chosen by she

Here I go when I don’t know why

I spin so ceaselessly

Could it be he’s taking over me

I’m dancing barefoot

Headin’ for a spin

Some strange music drags me in

Makes me come up like some heroine

She is recreation

She intoxicated by thee

She has the slow sensation that

He is levitating with she

Here I go when I don’t know why

I spin so ceaselessly

‘Til I lose my sense of gravity

I’m dancing barefoot

Heading for a spin

Some strange music draws me in

Makes me come up like some heroine

Oh God I fell for you

Oh God I fell for you

Oh God I fell for you

Oh God I fell for you

Songwriters: Kral, Ivan / Smith, Patti

Q: Why did you feel compelled to write this story?

A: The characters’ struggle with learning to live according to their own truth rather than being bound by others’ expectations resonates with me on a core level. As human beings, it is easy to be caught up in someone else’s life agenda and forget that we are here with our own purpose.  There were times in my life when I became consumed with putting other people’s expectations above my own and that is no way to live.

Q: What would you like people to take away from this story?

A: We’re all unique and the status quo doesn’t always serve us well. It’s important to find what makes your heart sing and pursue it even if it’s scary as hell for you to take that leap.

Q: As an author, what is your main goal when connecting with a reader?

A: Entertainment. Despite the nature of some of my stories, such as human trafficking in Reckless Endangerment or breaking free of co-dependency/expectation in Dancing Barefoot, my goal is to entertain the reader. When someone tells me they write ‘literary fiction’, I roll my eyes at the pretentiousness of thinking that entertainment genres like romance or suspense are somehow ‘less than.’ I want to entertain, to take the reader into someone else’s world for awhile, and to make them smile when they turn that last page. The greatest compliment I receive from a reader is when they tell me that they didn’t want the book to end. That’s when I know I’ve done my job well.

Excerpt from Dancing Barefoot

DancingBarefoot_1FINALHe stalked toward her until her back collided with her easel. His hands gripped the top of the canvas, arms pinned her where she stood. “I haven’t wanted to remember you in a very long time.”

“I suppose not.”

“But I have.”

“Me, too.”

“Are you happy?”

“What do you mean?” She folded her arms across her chest.

“Did you make the right choice? Leaving me? Leaving our life together? Tell me you’re happy and I’ll walk out of your life forever.”

“What does it matter?  I can’t undo it.”

“Why is it a difficult question for you to answer? Why can’t you tell me that you have no regrets? I want to hear it.”

“Of course I have regrets, but so what?  What good does that do us?”

“That’s why I came here tonight, to see…”

“See what? I’ve done what I said I would do.” Pride forced her head high. “I’m up for associate partner at my firm. I’m a good—no, great—architect. We both succeeded without each other. Good for us.”

“You’re lying. You’re not happy.” His hand framed the side of her face, forcing her to look at him. “I see it in your face. It’s like you’ve died. You’re living in the past, which tells me you’re not that thrilled with the present.”

“When did you get so mean?” Too tired to fight, tears blurred her eyes. “Get out. Enough insults for one night. Just go.”

“Why are you still wearing my ring?” His voice was low and powerful in the small room.

“Why do you?”

“My ring.” Dark blond hair covered his left eye when he bent forward, only a breath away from her face. “Why are you wearing it? Does it mean anything to you or do you simply think it’s pretty?”

“Please go.” She flattened her hands against his chest, but wished she hadn’t.  The feel of his hard body beneath her hands liquefied her bones.

He slammed his hand against the canvas, knocking it to the floor behind her.  “You just left. One day we’re living together, talking about creating a future, and then you walked away without ever looking back.”

“I look back in my own way. Often, too often, I need to grow up like you said.” Her lungs deflated like air from a balloon. Breathing ceased.  I needed to come back here to—”

“To be safe? To do the right thing?” He had her backed against the easel. “I thought you would at least stay in touch with me, the man you supposedly loved, the man you said you wanted to marry, the man you said you needed…but you disappeared.”

“You had my address. I didn’t disappear.”

“You let me go without a word. Until today, I hadn’t heard from you in years, yet here you are wearing my ring.”

“I said I was sorry.” Every inch of her quaked with restrained emotion.  “Leave now. Go. Good luck with your exhibit, the workshop, with your life, all of it.  Just get the hell out of my house.”

“Do you know why I brought your address with me? Do you?”

“You wanted to tell me off, right? That’s why you came here, to hurt me.”

“I wanted to show you how much I don’t care.”

“Doesn’t that show me how much you really do care?” She lifted her chin, determined not to cry.

A fraction of an inch separated their bodies. She dragged her gaze over the opened buttons of his shirt, over his neck, over his lips until resting on the deep green of his eyes. Damn, the man rocked the word ‘sexy’.

Boldness replaced caution.

DancingBarefoot_1FINALStanding on tiptoes, she smoothed her hands along the front of his chest.  Touching him again was like coming home from a long, exhausting journey.

He shook his head once as if trying to clear his mind.  Only once.  He stared at her lips.  His hands curled around her forearms, but he didn’t push her away.

“Kiss me,” she whispered against his mouth.

“No,” he whispered as his hands slid up her arms before cupping the back of head.

“I dare you.”

“Never.”

“I know you want to.”

“I don’t.”

“Now who’s the liar?” she asked, her teeth tugging at his lower lip.

Their mouths met in a kiss that melted her skin like candle wax, turning them into one being, one entity consumed by desire. To hell with restraint and regret. She needed this, needed him, here and now.

Passion overrode all other thought or senses. Her hands stroked his back, kneading and searching. Every sense was alive with his touch, with his kiss. The need for him was an ache that burned deep. Hot. Necessary. Urgent. Primal

God, she had missed this, missed him.

He ripped her tank top in two and tossed the material aside.  His hands squeezed her breasts while his mouth devoured hers.

She yanked his shirt free from his jeans and shoved it high on his chest, needing his skin against hers more than she’d ever needed anything in life.  Clothes fell away, bread crushed beneath their bodies, wine spilled from an overturned bottle at their feet.

They fell against the easel, knocking the canvas and paint in every direction. A tangle of limbs, they made eye contact for a moment, chests heaving, breathing labored.

“This is wrong,” he muttered against her skin.

“Right. Always right with us.” She sank her fingernails into his shoulders.

“What the lady wants, the lady gets,” he said, a predatory gleam in his eyes.

His hands worked at pushing her yoga pants over her hips while his mouth claimed her breast.

She looped her toes in the waistband of his underwear and yanked them over his thighs.  Her hands sought his erection while her back arched with every stroke of his hands and every lick of his tongue.

He ground himself inside her with the intensity of repressed rage. Her legs wrapped around his hips, holding him as close as possible as he plunged deep inside her.

Sex had never been tame with him, but this was animalistic. This was raw.  Teeth sank into skin. Nails scraped against each other’s bodies. They rolled together, locked as one being. Streaks of yellow and red paint lined their faces, stuck in their hair, no one cared.

Waves of pleasure rolled through her veins like a tsunami until all strength left her body. She laughed, breathless, as her mouth sought his again in a kiss filled with satisfaction and surprise.

“Is this what you meant by a do-over?” He shoved his hands through her hair, palms framing her face, and stared into her eyes. His chest rose and fell against hers.

“Not exactly, but it’ll do,” she whispered, still out of breath, heartbeat slamming like a caged bird’s wings inside her chest.

His mouth sucked on her lower lip, tongue teased hers. “I don’t know what to do with you, Jessica Moriarty.”

“You’ve always known exactly what to do with me, Jacques Sinclair.” She repeated the words they’d always said to one another. She dipped her finger into the wet yellow paint on the canvas beneath his head before smearing it across his chin and over his mouth.

He grabbed her hand, linked his fingers with hers and stared into her eyes. Laughter faded. “This shouldn’t have happened. I lost control, I always lose control around you.”

He rolled away and stared at the ceiling. Then he stood and pulled a piece of cheese from where it had stuck to his shoulder. Without looking at her, he dressed.

Rattled from the sex and his reaction, she stumbled to standing, grabbed the blanket from the sofa and wrapped it around herself. Man, she was on a roll today with fucking up her life.

DancingBarefoot_1FINALHe walked down the stairs without saying a word.

She returned to the kitchen to find him still waiting. She’d hoped he’d gone.

Back against the wall, he finished buttoning his shirt. He hadn’t bothered to wipe the streaks of paint from his face and hair; then again, neither had she. When he lifted his gaze to hers, he looked agonized.

“I didn’t intend on that. I should go,” he said.

“Stay. Don’t go. Maybe we should talk or something.”

She wanted to scream, stomp her foot like a child, fall to her knees …anything to make him stay.

“There is someone else, Jess. Life moved on without you.” His quiet words sliced her heart into a million pieces. “I came here for answers, to understand. I didn’t intend to rip your clothes off. I only wanted to understand why you left me. That’s all.”

“And now you understand?”

“No.” He shook his head, a slight grin curving his lips. “But I accept that I will never understand.”

She rubbed the palm of her hand over her face. Of course he had someone else. She had discarded him like a used napkin.

“You’re serious with this woman? What you said about the different women all the time was just to hurt me, right?”

“Yes to both questions.”

A chasm ripped through the room, creating a space larger than the ocean that had once separated them. She felt the loss of him again, more powerful, more poignant than before.

“I wish it wasn’t like this between us…”

“I’m still the same man you left in Italy. The reasons you left haven’t changed.  I’m a gypsy at heart, never in one place longer than six months or so.” He looked at the matching ring on his finger and blew out a long breath.

“Please leave. Your girlfriend must be wondering what the hell you’re doing.”  She hugged her arms across her chest and tapped her foot against the floor. “Please leave, Jacques.”

“Am I wrong? Are you happy? Tell me I’m wrong about you. Tell me that you love being an architect. Tell me that you honestly don’t regret leaving me.” With every word, his face mirrored the agony she felt. “Tell me that you have no regrets, that you are happy with your life as it is now.”

“My life is damn near perfect.” She forced a smile. “Partnership is in sight, remember? Corner office here I come. I have everything I’ve ever wanted. It’s a fucking love fest.”

“It is time I let this go then.” With a quick movement, he pulled the ring from his finger and laid it on the back of the red chair.

She stared at the ring against the faded fabric. “Please don’t leave it. Like you said, it’s yours.”

“Keep it, throw it away, it no longer matters to me. Be well, bella.” Door open, he hesitated at the threshold and looked around the room before meeting her gaze again.

  1. The word hung in the air as they stared at one another, the language of Italy dancing in her memory and tugging at her heart.

Caro…” she whispered.

Without another look back, he closed the door behind him.

She listened to the fall of his footsteps on the stairs, the outside door opening and closing, and folded his ring into her palm. She pressed the closed fist against lips still swollen from his kiss. Silent tears streaked her face.

“What have I done?” Back against the door, she slid to the floor. The question she asked had no answer. Even she didn’t know if she meant the past or the present; conflicting emotions meshed together in her brain like the various paint streaks staining her skin.

Meet a Monster Erotica Author – Interview with Tawny Savage

Stop in to see what my alter ego Tawny Savage had to say about the monster erotica genre. While you’re there, check out Celia Dunroy’s books!

Celia Dunroy's avatarCelia Dunroy

On #MonsterMonday, this blog features interviews with the people who write and publish monster erotica. Why Is Monster Erotica So Popular? Well, we know! Today’s author is Tawny Savage.

Bigfoot Claims His Mate Cover with no eyes 200 by 300Tell me about your stories and the monsters they feature!
At the moment, I’m working on the final installment of my Bigfoot Chronicles trilogy. Besides the obvious, the true monsters in these stories are the humans. I have plans for novellas centered around demons, a Minotaur, mermen, gargoyles and one of my childhood nightmares…puppets.

I prefer creatures that are more humanoid or at closer to the size of a human so I can wrap my head around how they’d have sex together. Others can tackle the extra large creatures. 😉

What do you like to call your category? “Monster erotica”, “beast porn”, something else?
I like most of them out there: monster erotica, bigfoot erotica/porn, beast love, taboo erotica…

#SaturdaySpotlight: Upcoming #Release From Author @MadisonSevier #contemporary #romance

Saturday Spotlight

Welcome to Behind Closed Doors. It’s Saturday and while I’m wasting away at a veterinary seminar, all of you get to enjoy a sneak peek at the third book in author Madison Sevier’s River Jewel Resort series. Long Overdue is aptly named. We’ve been waiting for this bad boy to get out there and we’ve only a few more days to go! Secret Cravings Publishing releases it on May 6th.

Blurb

Long overdue coverAfter a decade of working at the campus library, a scandal involving a student leaves Olivia Milan unemployed and able to spend much more time with her best friend, Matt. She’s always been attracted to Matt Osgood, but believes he’ll never feel the same about her. When he heads out of town for the weekend, Olivia takes the opportunity to visit the River Jewel Resort in the hope of getting a new job. However, what she finds when she arrives proves life can be stranger than fiction.

Romance author Matt Osgood has been in love with the same woman for a very long time, but he thinks she’ll never return his feelings. Years of going to the River Jewel Resort have allowed him to live out his every fantasy. Still, he aches for a real emotional connection to the woman he truly loves.

Can the River Jewel Resort turn fantasy into a reality for these two best friends? Or will they run in opposite directions when confronted with the truth?

Excerpt

“Not enough pay. Not enough hours. Not enough clothing.” She tossed the red marker across the room. “This newspaper is full of shitty jobs. There has to be something in this town I’m qualified to do.”

“Have you considered starting your own tantric-tutoring classes at the Y?” Matt waved his napkin as Olivia threw him an evil glare.

“Hardy-har-har. Are you ever going to let that go? It happened over a month ago.”

“I know, but I still wish I had been there to see it. I’m afraid the images in my mind of you and the Professor rolling around in your office just don’t do the real thing justice.”

“Perv.”

“You know it. I wouldn’t be surprised if the old man still sits around picturing the two of you getting each other off while he jerks off in that disgusting office of his.”

“Really? Did you have to go there? I feel dirty just thinking about it. Gross. I still can’t believe I let my libido take control of me.”

“Just kidding, babe. Tell you what, if you promise to go to River Jewel while I’m in Chicago doing actual work this weekend, I’ll stop teasing you about the senior-shag when I return.”

Olivia rolled her eyes. “Liar. You’re enjoying this.”

“Well, yeah, but I promise to stop. Besides, I overheard someone last night say that they’re putting a bookstore in at the Resort, on the third floor. That tells me they’re hiring and who better to run a bookstore than you?”

Long overdue cover“No way.” She was speechless. A bookstore! It had been years since she’d been in an actual bookstore. Working at the library, reading Matt’s books and the ease of online shopping had supported her need for books for years. To be employed at a shop full of her favorite things would be amazing! Just the thought of working in one made her panties wet.

For Olivia, books had always been everything. The way they smelled when one opened them  and the feel of them in her hands was like a drug. This was one of the many reasons she’d loved her job at the library. She could be closest to the things that made her happy.

One night after the library closed, her love of sex and fiction came together in an amazing way. She’d snuck in with a guy and they’d made love on top of one of the long, mahogany tables. Olivia had never felt more alive than that night. She’d been surrounded by new and old authors, their famous works standing at attention, surrounding them. Their stories of happily-ever-afters calling to her as she milked every drop from her ex’s shaft and after that, screwing in the library had become the only thing that came close to satisfying her.

Her fiancé, Randy, had never been into anything she wanted or needed and for a long time, she’d thought it was her fault. Olivia had tried to be everything Randy Davis desired and it took her a long time to realize that no one could have made him happy. His insatiability rivaled hers but he preferred to satisfy his needs with other people behind Olivia’s back. If she had known what he was doing, she never would’ve stayed with him for as long as she did. Looking back, she had wasted so much time and she’d cried enough tears to fill the Ohio River. If only she had met Matt sooner. Maybe their lives would’ve been different. Straddling Matt on a library table, riding him until they were both raw and exhausted…

“Hellooo. Earth to Olivia.” Matt snapped his fingers in her face. “Where’d you go? Oh, you were thinking about Tim, the quarterback again, weren’t you?”

Busted. “Not exactly. Okay, maybe.”

“You were! Library sex flashbacks? I’m so jealous!” He teased. “I’ve never known anyone to hold on to a memory of an ex like you have.” Did she sense a bit of real jealousy in his tone?

Maybe it was a fantasy of you that I was thinking about. She’d seen how well-endowed Matt was. Helping him get into and out of the shower safely every other day had played a huge part in her need to be taken by a man, any man. Thinking back, she should’ve spoken up sooner. Maybe their lives would be different if she had. An author and a librarian were a perfect match. She’d give him plenty of inspiration for his books and he’d fulfill all of her fantasies. But what if she was wrong?

OhMy! Monday: @dochappycamper Shares and Excerpt from Her #LGBT #BDSM WIP Bound in Paradise

Oh My! Mondays Banner For Behind Closed Doors

Welcome to Behind Closed Doors! Today I’d like to share an excerpt from my current WIP, “Bound in Paradise.” This is actually a prequel to The Surrender of Julia (Now and Forever 3). I’ve had several people ask about how Julia and Carmen met and about their time in Hawaii. When we decided to put a summer anthology together, I thought this novella would be a good fit along with one by Lia Michaels and Bonnie Bliss. Season of Sun and Sin is turning out to be one of my favorite compilations to work on because of the stories that will be included. If all goes according to schedule, we hope to have advanced print copies to take with us to RomCon in June. Denver here we come!

Let me first say the following is an UNEDITED excerpt. My editor will have her hands on the completed piece within the next few days and will help me tweak things throughout. In other words, please don’t jump all over me if you find grammatical errors. This is still a WIP and things could change, including this scene. So with that said, here’s a scene from Carmen’s POV. She’s helping her sub Julia get ready for their first scene in front of their  BDSM play group.

ADULT EXCERPT

BDSM_collar_backJulia sat before her with her eyes closed. Carmen expertly French braided her lover’s hair with dark red ribbons, and then secured the end so the resulting tail hung half way down her back. She gazed at Julia’s reflection in the mirror in front of them. Her body flushed from her cheek bones to the valley between her full breasts on display in the red leather corset. “Open your eyes.”

Julia gasped. “How did you do that so fast? I thought you had trouble with hair.”

“Only with my own. I have a lot of fun playing with the hair of others, especially my pets. No one has hair like yours. It’s perfect.” Carmen wrapped the braid around her hand and smiled.

“Now I understand why you wanted to braid my hair.”

Carmen tugged the braid so Julia’s head tilted back. “As much as I love your hair all wild and free, it’s best to keep it bound like this so everyone can see your beautiful face as it flushes deep crimson with exertion. You will have to work hard to maintain control until I give you permission to let go.”

Julia’s steel gray eyes appeared to sparkle with excitement. “I’ve been looking forward to this night ever since you invited me to come here with you. You could have had any of the others as your sub and you picked me. Why?”

“I saw a fire in you I wanted to harness but not extinguish. Many would try to break you, but I wanted the chance to bring out your true self. I know you have a lot of walls built up around your heart. I want you to trust me enough to keep you safe so you can bust down those barriers. You ooze sensuality and raw sex with every movement of your body. Do you realize that every time you enter a room, all eyes are drawn to you? Some want to possess you. Others desire to be possessed by you.”

“And you?” Julia swallowed hard and held Carmen’s gaze.

shutterstock_95807107“I’ve been searching for a sub who can not only take whatever instruction I dish out, but can challenge me to be a better Mistress. I want a partner in every sense of the word. I have no power unless you give it to me. Your complete submission and trust in me is the best aphrodisiac.” She released the braid and reached for a few the diamond crusted combs on the dressing table. She slid each into the weave of the braid securing the last of the stray tendrils from Julia’s face.

Julia smiled and slipped her silk stockinged feet into the thigh high patent leather boots.

Carmen knelt and adjusted the laces of each boot so the material fit Julia’s body like a second skin. “Walk a few steps for me and let me know if they’re tight enough. I don’t want you to lose your balance because the boots aren’t giving you enough support.”

Julia took a few tentative steps and then lengthened her stride into a full on strut across the room. The five inch high heel of the boots changed her posture so she had to stick out her already rounded ass and arch her back to keep her balance. She turned and made her way back toward Carmen with a smile that lit up her face. “It’s a little scary at first to be this high up from the ground, but I don’t feel like I’m going to fall over. I think you have the laces just right.”

Carmen patted the cushion in front of her. “Good. Sit down. I have one more adornment for you.”

Julia sat down as directed. Her eyes fell to the box Carmen now held in her hands. “What’s in there?”

Carmen pushed a button and the lid popped open to reveal several clamps with bells attached. She picked up one and shook it in front of Julia’s eyes. “Spread your legs, kitten”

REBLOG: Are You a “Real” Writer? #amwriting #MyWANA

Another of my author friends shared a post from another blog today about what it means to be called a real writer. If you’re like me, you’ve had this conversation with your fair share of people when you tell them what genre(s) you write. People feel romance authors…specifically erotic romance authors aren’t real writers. If they haven’t seen us on Oprah’s book of the month club or on the NY Times best sellers list we aren’t real writers. If they have never heard of us before, we aren’t real writers. See where I’m doing with this?

There are no fast and hard rules about what is a real writer. If you write, you are one. Period. People confuse being a writer with being famous. Fame has nothing to do with it although it would be nice! LOL! We write because we have to do it. It’s in our blood. We hope others enjoy our stories, but even if they don’t, we still continue to write. So the next time someone tells you they’re a writer, ask them about their latest works and their writing process. Get to know the person before you turn your nose up at them because they don’t write the kind of stories you would be interested in.

Christine Ashworth posted a wonderful blog about “real” writers. You have to read it. She put into words what many of us try to explain to others every single day. Click HERE to find the article. Leave a comment on her blog to let her know what you think of it.

Released December 29, 2013

I’ve been busy working on the prequel to The Surrender of Julia (Now and Forever 3). It’s a short novella called “Bound in Paradise” and will be one of the three pieces in Sassy Vixen Publishing’s Season of Sun and Sin anthology. While working on that, it dawned on me that I have nine books out now between all of my pen names. The anthology will be the tenth and will include TWO of my stories. My 11th and 12th books will be out this summer too. I’m not yet up there on the charts like some people are, but I do have my fan base and it’s growing. These folks make me want to keep putting stories out there, but honestly even if they weren’t there, I’d still be writing. I may not put them out for others to read, but I’d write the stories just the same. My characters don’t ever keep quiet. LOL!

To celebrate and to thank those who have supported me on this journey, Sassy Vixen Publishing has agreed to offer The Surrender of Julia for only 99 cents for a very limited time on All Romance ebooks and Amazon. If you haven’t picked up you copy yet, please do so. If you have time, I’d love to hear what you think about the book. Reviews on Amazon and Goodreads help me continue to improve as a writer and storyteller.

excerpt

Lily nodded thanks at the woman who served her coffee. Turning too quickly, she collided with a very firm wall like being. She stumbled backwards and strong arms wrapped around her waist. Lily turned in time to see a quick, large hand catch the cup of coffee before it splattered all over the ground.

Inexplicably, she felt moisture pool between her legs. A whimper parted her lips. She turned breathlessly to look up at the most mesmerizing blue eyes she’d ever seen. Lily couldn’t breathe. Hell, she didn’t want to. She might vomit all over him in her embarrassment.

Her wolf exploded to the surface and she leaned up, tipped over by her rescuer and took in a deep whiff of his scent. It was so right. God, he smelled like the moist woods at night, soap, and salted masculine sweat. The tip of her nose rubbed against the curve of his neck and she opened her mouth. She realized in an instant what she was about to do to the handsome, gorgeous stranger—mark him as hers.

Mine.

Her wolf snarled and tried to become the dominant player in this new unexpected game. She felt something bay back at her. Startled, she realized that the man holding her was wolf. Her fingers gripped his biceps tighter and she opened her mouth to speak.

Slowly, and as if she would break from too rough a movement, the man set her to rights. “Sorry, I thought you wanted to dance there, this is Starbucks right? Not a dance studio?”

Lily found that her lips were flapping like a fish out of water. She sealed her lips shut and swallowed past the lump in her throat. Her heart thumped wildly against her rib cage and she could only stare up at this beautiful man—wolf. “Um, sorry. You must think I’m just—?” Reluctantly, she moved away from him.

His smile was warm and it reached his eyes. His dark hair was trimmed, but the ends at the back of his neck touched the collar of his shirt—rugged and wild.

Like me.

She watched him reach out and brush a strand of hair from her face. It was so tender her heart suddenly started to ache.

He is wolf, run for fucks sakes! Wallace is the only safe wolf.

But she couldn’t. She was rooted to the spot. Super glued to the floor. She wanted to know this man so bad.“Yeah, um, sorry again. I mean, I was thinking about things. Stuff—my friends.”

“Well, maybe you could help me; I’m actually supposed to meet someone, a young woman.”

She swallowed and tilted back a bit. For some reason the thought of him looking for another woman made her jealous—nope it downright pissed her and her wolf off. The barely restrained snarl pressed at her lips that were now tightly pressed together. Once she’d regained some form of humanity, she cleared her throat. “What makes you think I can find her? London is a huge place, and I only deal with a certain type of client in my line of work.”

“I was told to meet her here, her name’s Lily Blackwood.”
