All of my books are now on Amazon!

It’s official!

The Island CoverThe Island (Now and Forever 2) is available for purchase on Amazon US and Amazon UK. I was expecting it to be there at the earliest sometime next week, but for some reason I decided to check last night and there it was. It’s being offered for $3.99.  I’m still waiting for it to show up on Barnes and Noble and iTunes, but within the next couple weeks it should be there along with the first book in this series and my first poetry book.

Starting in about 3 hours is my 24 hour Release Party on Facebook. I’ve got some fun planned at different times during the day so that I can catch people from multiple time zones. Lots of swag and naughty gifts are up for grabs and one Grand Prize for one lucky person. I’ve set up the Rafflecopter for that one to make it fair.

December 14th is going to be another busy day. I’m stopping off at the blog of Miranda Stork as part of the promotional tour for The Island and I’m participating in the Candy Cane Kink Blog Hop on my Sassy Vixen Publishing blog and as my alter ego Lia Michaels on her blog The House of Taboo. Click on the tabs on the menu at the top of the page to take you to those sister blogs on December 14th. You can also find out where the next stop is on the tour by clicking another tab above.

Well, I’m off to get the Margaritas and Mai Tai’s ready for the party! I hope to see you around the tour and the hops over the next few days!

Brightest Blessings

The Island Tour Continues…

Hello all! I’m busy “traveling” with the virtual tour celebrating the release of The Island (Now and Forever 2). Today’s stop is over on my fellow Siren author Lynn Tyler’s blog. She’s been kind enough to host me this week AND get ready for her own release. She is simply amazing!

Make sure you stop in and leave a comment. Let me know what you think about the shorter novels vs. the epics. Which do you prefer?  Here’s the LINK.  See you there!

Brightest Blessings!

The Island is Available for Pre-order

Hello my lovelies! I’ve been all over the place as of late and it looks like I forgot to post it here on my own website that The Island (Now and Forever 2) is available for pre-order through Bookstrand.  As an added bonus, it will be offered at 10% off the list price through November 22nd. So even before the actual release date of November 15th, you can reserve your copy at the discounted price! Whoohoo!

I just finished the advanced reading copy (ARC) of The Island today. Yes, I cried again! LOL These characters are so much a part of me and my life. I hope you all end up feeling the same way about them. A few folks have asked me if I based my characters on people I know.

YES! LOL

They are composites of people who’ve crossed my life path. Some of you who know me will recognize the bits and pieces of me in Quinn and all of my characters. Yes, some of the “action” actually happened to me…hehehe. I’ll leave that all up to you to imagine what parts! 😉

I received some of the best comments and compliments from some of my high school classmates. After they got over their initial shock that “their” shy, supersmart, valedictorian Tammy writes erotic romance, they got lost in the story and loved it. How great is that?

So here’s the button that will take you to the Bookstrand page where you can get your copy of The Island today. If you haven’t read the first book For the Love of Quinn, you might want to pick that one up while you’re there too.  Happy reading!

Video Trailer for The Island (Now and Forever 2)

I’m in the planning stages for a virtual book tour to promote The Island, coming up with a variety of posts, a media kit with all my links, bio, covers and of course the video trailer. Recently I did a blog post for Writer’s Words of Wisdom about creating video trailers. I used the techniques described in it to create my latest video. Even though it took me a while to put it all together the way I wanted it, it really wasn’t hard to do.

Once I collected and purchased all the photos I wanted to use, I listened to the variety of royalty free music I had on my computer from iTunes and from Incompetech.com. The latter is a site put together by Kevin MacLeod. He has hundreds of pieces all for free to use in projects. All you have to do is give him credit somewhere in your work and you are all set. If you can’t or don’t want to give the attribution, you can purchase the music as well. Kevin also offers a service where he will create an original composition for you if you desire.

Well, being on a very tight budget, I of course went for the free music for now. One day I may have to hire Mr. MacLeod to compose something for me, but for now I’ll just enjoy the beautiful pieces he has on his site.  The budget this time around was used to purchase a few more pictures from Shutterstock.com. I found several that just caught my eye immediately. The photos of the Goddess Fate, Michael Hartley, and Daniel Quartermarsh were the most striking. They captured my vision of these characters perfectly! I couldn’t be happier.

For my hero and heroine, I had to try to not get photos that were steamy, but not too risque. I also wanted to give an idea of how I pictured Quinn and Jacob, but didn’t want to make those the only images in the reader’s mind. The fun part is coming up with your own interpretation of the characters as you read their story, and maybe even put yourself in as one of them. During the upcoming Wicked After Dark Blog Hop, I’ll be doing character interviews and posting pictures of the actors who I used as inspiration. There is no right or wrong answer to how someone pictures my characters. I hope the posts generate a lot of discussion. It will be fun for me to see what folks think of my vision versus how they see the characters.

Enough chit chat! Here’s the video you all came here to see. Let me know what you think, and if you have a few moments, please stop by YouTube and view the trailer from there so the view count will go up. And if you can give it a like, I would really appreciate it!

Cover Reveal for The Island (Now and Forever 2)

I’m so excited! While at work today at my evil day job as a veterinarian, I received an email notification on my cell. Imagine my excitement to see an email from Siren today with copies of my new cover. Whoohoo!

The cover artist, Christine Kirchoff, captured what I had in mind for the island at sunset. Even though the model on the cover has blonde hair and I picture Quinn as a brunette, I think the couple looks perfect! I asked a question on Facebook the other day. “Who did you picture in your mind as Quinn when you read For the Love of Quinn? I got a variety of answers and you know what? All of them were correct. Who I picture in my mind doesn’t have to be the exact version you picture. That’s the whole point of reading books isn’t it? Letting your imagination run wild is more than half the fun, and picturing yourself as one of the characters is the rest of it!

So with that being said, here is my new cover!

It’s scheduled for release on November 15th. If that changes, you better believe I’ll let you know. 😉
