New Cover for My Second Book of Poetry

I’m so excited! I’ve been working on the vampire inspired poetry off and on for a while now and it looks like I should be finished with the rough draft this week. Hopefully the edits will go smooth enough so I can release it on January 1st…just like the first book of poetry. Whoohoo!

I was going back and forth with the title as I wanted this book to be a companion to The Kayne Legacy series much like Follow Me: Poetry from the Heart and Soul is for my Now and Forever series. So after battling with myself for a few hours once again last night, I decided on using the title of one of the poems in the collection. In fact, it was the very first one I wrote for this book. Courtship of the Vampyre: Poetry Inspired by the Guardians of the Night is the full title. Here is the cover I designed for it. Let me know what you all think!

It’s official!

The Island (Now and Forever 2) is available for purchase on Amazon US and Amazon UK. I was expecting it to be there at the earliest sometime next week, but for some reason I decided to check last night and there it was. It’s being offered for $3.99. I’m still waiting for it to show up on Barnes and Noble and iTunes, but within the next couple weeks it should be there along with the first book in this series and my first poetry book.

Starting in about 3 hours is my 24 hour Release Party on Facebook. I’ve got some fun planned at different times during the day so that I can catch people from multiple time zones. Lots of swag and naughty gifts are up for grabs and one Grand Prize for one lucky person. I’ve set up the Rafflecopter for that one to make it fair.

December 14th is going to be another busy day. The Island Tour Continues

Hello my friends!

The promotional tour for The Island (Now and Forever 2) is going very well. We’ve only had a few glitches along the way but we managed to turn those into a bunch of fun as well. Later this week is the Facebook Release Party where we will have fun chatting, sharing stories and of course their will be some fun contests and giveaways. I have a lot of prizes to give away. So excited!

Today the tour stops at the blog of one of my fellow authors and friends, Lori King. Because I’m a bit swamped getting ready for the party, two of my characters have agreed to stand in for me and give you a bit more insight into the book. Sinfully Sassy Sundays with The Vixen is at Four Seduced Muses

Hello everyone!

I wanted to remind folks that I do co-host another blog

with three of my fellow Siren authors Maya DeLeina, Nicole Morgan, and May Water. Together we call ourselves Four Seduced Muses. We decided to start a blog that showcases the steamier side of erotic romance and erotica. No topic is really taboo. The point is to make it hot and spicy and for adults only.

Usually these end up in our spam folder, but if you happen to see one of the comments that slip through, DON’T click on any of their links and report the comment to one of us and we will have it deleted.

My weekly feature is called Sinfully Sassy Sundays with The Vixen. This week I’m talking about fun foods to incorporate into sex play time. There are many to consider and many to avoid. I didn’t go into the ones to avoid at this time. If you want to have that discussion, we can do it in the comments section either here or there. Suffice it to say, the foods that you are allergic to you should stay away from. Some spices will burn on the skin and shouldn’t be applied to the delicate tissue of your genitalia.

Do your research, talk with your partner about it and above all have fun with it. If you aren’t having fun and enjoying the time with your partner, there is no point in doing it.

Kisses, Caresses and Whispers in the Dark is my next stop

I’ve stopped off at the blog of my friend and fellow Siren Author Amber Lea Easton. Today is the first of a three day event there. She’s opening our show with an in depth interview getting quite a bit of information out of me. Oh, she’s good. Very good. I think she was an interrogator in a previous life. 😉

It’s Release Day for The Island!

It’s the day I’ve been waiting for, and making all of you crazy with updates. The Island (Now and Forever 2). Is officially available for purchase and download to the ereader of your choice. It’s only available through Bookstand for now. In another 4-6 weeks, it will then be available on iTunes, Barnes and Noble, and Amazon. You don’t have to wait for it to be available through those sites. Bookstrand makes it really easy to get the file you need for your device or computer.

For example, if you have a Kindle all you have to do is set up through your account with Amazon to accept emails from Bookstrand and you can have your books sent DIRECTLY to the device. Or you can have the sent to your computer and upload the file to your Kindle through the USB port. Full instructions are on Bookstrand’s website.

Next Stop on the Tour…

Today I’m juggling many different tasks. I have to mail out the prize packages from the Wicked After Dark Halloween Blog Hop, find a few outfits for our Thanksgiving trip to visit family, work on several blog posts for the next two weeks of the tour, and figure out what to make for dinner. Whew!

One thing I don’t have to worry about is my stop off at Natasha Blackthorne’s beautiful blog. She’s hosting me today while I talk about finding my soul mate. Much like Quinn and Jacob, my hubby and I have that deep soul connection that we believe is from loving each other through several lifetimes. I’ve talked about this many times before, but it’s worth talking about it over and over again. Maybe that’s why I write about it in my poetry and in my romance novels.

For most of my life I thought of my soul mate as a fantasy Knight in Shining Armor. If I wrote about him, I could live the life I longed for with all of my heart. Over the years I had all but given up on finding him. So much pain and heartache ruled my life, but I could always escape into my dream world. When I finally shared those hopes and dreams in my published works, that’s when my life turned around. In the middle of doing a revision of For the Love of Quinn is when my soul mate walked into my life. I wasn’t ready for him at all…or so I thought. I was separated from my first husband and in the middle of filing for divorce, had my heart shattered by a love from my past, and felt I was meant to spend the rest of my life alone. As much as I fought it, my heart wouldn’t let me stay away from Liam. He helped me through all the pain and allowed me to heal. He supported me through it all but let me discover my path for myself, standing in the wings if I needed him and then standing with open arms when I reached the end of my dark journey.

That my friends is what makes a soul mate and a perfect ending for a romance novel, but instead of a fantasy I put to the page, it was my dream come true. So when you read the stories of the couples in my Now and Forever series you will actually be reading my story and my journey to find that “elusive” happily ever after. It’s really not all that elusive, it’s just waiting in the wings while you find your way, offering a helping hand when needed, but ultimately letting you pick your path leading into those open arms waiting to embrace you.
